About the project
A website to help photographers find trustworthy, professional reviews of photography presets — written exclusively by top-tier photographers. With the largest library of preset reviews online, the site needed to balance depth of content with ease of use. The design approach focused on clarity, trust, and content-first usability. A clean, modular layout was needed to support long-form reviews, rich visuals, and intuitive filtering by style, genre, or tone. Visual design choices emphasized credibility: strong typography, editorial-inspired layouts, and a quite neutral color system that let preset imagery stand out. Every interaction was designed to support the platform’s core value — helping photographers make confident, informed decisions.
Opportunity
With the growing popularity of photography presets, the market has become saturated with options — but trustworthy, professional reviews remain scarce. Photographers often struggle to evaluate presets before purchasing, leading to wasted time and inconsistent results. The opportunity was to create a platform that surfaces expert insights and helps photographers find presets that truly fit their style and workflow.
APPROACH
The design process began by understanding the needs of photographers: visual clarity, credibility & comprehensive reviews. Through user research and competitive analysis, the focus was on structuring a content-rich experience that felt both editorial and highly usable. The experience was built around trust, with an emphasis on readability, filtering, and visual previewing.
